Olivier Giroud will leave AC Milan after this season. The 37-year-old Frenchman confirmed the news on his own social media. Giroud then heads to America.
Giroud has been rumored for some time to have signed with MLS side Los Angeles FC. The striker’s contract expires next summer and he has decided not to renew. “I’m a bit emotional because my adventure is coming to an end at the end of this season,” he told supporters in a video message.
Without naming Los Angeles FC, Giroud said he is working in MLS. He thanked AC Milan fans over the years. ‘I am very proud of what I have achieved here in three seasons with AC Milan. AC Milan is forever in my heart.

The attacker made 131 appearances for AC Milan over three seasons, scoring 48 times. His highlight came in 2021/22, in which he was crowned champions of Italy with AC Milan. This season he has fourteen goals and eight assists in Serie A. Giroud also previously played for Chelsea, Arsenal, Montpellier, Tours, Istres and Grenoble.
