The fan group PlayStation Online Network Emulated, also known as PSONE, has managed to set up an online multiplayer server for PlayStation 3 Motorstorm. Anyone with the game and PlayStation 3 can connect to the server and race online.

On the website From PSONE, you can read how to connect to their server. First and foremost, players must have a PlayStation 3 and a copy of Motorstorm. Then in the network settings of the console, you must set DNS. This connects the console to the PSONE servers instead of the Sony servers.

According to VGC, PSONE is also working on more games in order to support, including Resistance, Wipeout HD, and Rachet & Clank: Up Your Arsenal. Additionally, efforts are being made to make PlayStation Home available again. A video from PSONE shows fans racing against each other online.

Sony no longer supports game servers for many of the games on its 2006 console. At the beginning of this year, the company announced that it would also take the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita digital stores offline. There was a lot of criticism which is why Sony decided to postpone it. Last month Established Sony makes it impossible to buy games directly from the PlayStation Store from PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita.
