Developer Mediatonic has added cross-play support during the current sixth season of its Fall Guys game. This means that players on PC can play with friends who are playing the game on PlayStation 4 or 5.
Mediatonic says This support is due to Epic Online Services technology. The developer of Fall Guys was named last year Obtained by Epic Games† It was already possible to lobby others in custom shows, but this has now expanded to more game modes, including Squads, Duos and Main Show.
To play cross-play, players must have their copy of Fall Guys linked to an Epic account. Players who have not yet done so will be reminded at the beginning of the game. Once the link is created, a function will be available to invite others. Players who are already added as friends on PlayStation or Steam will automatically appear in the Epic Friends List.
Fall Guys was released in August 2020 for PlayStation 4 and Windows. In the party game, players must complete levels with up to 60 other players. In each turn, players face strange obstacles and have to fight against opponents and natural laws. At some levels they have to work together. Players continue to withdraw until there is a winner. Mediatonic has yet to say a specific release date for those platforms.
