DZK water polo players can even miss penalty kicks | team sports
Vlissingen – The DZK water polo players took their third straight win in the second division at home. With a 15-11 win over Waterflow, Team Zeeland are now in the lead.
DZK initially had a tough time with De Meern’s opponents. Jarno de Jong, who scored twice, had an explanation: We started very poorly, but because we were more nimble in the third and fourth halves, we created more space and were rewarded with extra stops and penalties. “
After more than a period and a half, the score was 6-6 between the two teams. However, DZK ordered the rest with bullets: 8-6. In a strong third period, the home team ran further, although they missed two of the four penalties obtained: 13-8.
The big lead has not been given up in the last period: Bas van Houelingen and Robin Brill scored on behalf of DZK and ranked things up: 15-11.
