Logan Sargent will take place in the Williams of Nicolas Latifi during the first free practice of the United States Grand Prix. It’s part of a new test where Dutchman Nyck de Vries is allowed to show what he can do in the seat of Alexander Alban in the FW44 in Spain.

The American driver will make his first minutes in Formula 1 in his home country. The so-called test for freshers aims to give talent a stage where they can show what they have to offer. The second driver to drive for Williams was Logan de Vries. The American said in a press release from Williams that he was delighted with the offer.

This is the first time an American has boarded the FW44, so don’t expect miracles. Sargent: “My goal will be to learn as much as possible from the new generation of cars.
