Non-vaccinated Delta Air Lines employees must be on a monthly basis starting November 1. $200 extra Pay for their health insurance. Decision Delta explains: “This additional cost is necessary to absorb our company’s financial risk.”
The company notes that all Delta employees who were recently hospitalized with Covid-19 have not been fully vaccinated. The hospitalization cost for a Covid-19 patient is an average of $40,000.

75 percent of the airline’s workforce is vaccinated, but according to CEO Ed Bastian, the progression of the delta variant means that “we have to get as close to 100 percent as possible.”
Take many US companies procedures to raise vaccination rates. Earlier this month, United Airlines announced that all employees will be required to be vaccinated.
