Curaக்கோao has taken a step towards next year’s World Cup in Qatar. Interim national coach Patrick Kluwart’s team drew 0-0 with live rival Guatemala, so Group C won the second round of qualifiers in North and Central America and the Caribbean. Curaக்கோao has as many points as Guatemala, but with a better goal difference.
To really make it to the World Cup site, Curacao still has a long way to go. In the next round, Team D will face the winner of the team, Panama. Once Curaக்கோao settles with that country, it will end up in a group of eight countries in the fourth round, with strong teams from the region in the fourth round: Mexico, The United States, Costa Rica, Jamaica and Honduras. The top three in that group qualify directly for the World Cup. The fourth number is playing against a country from South America, Asia or Oceania.
Suriname also played last night. The country should have beaten Canada to qualify for the next round like Curacao, but went down without a chance. The team of national coach Dean Corey lost 4-0.
Both Suriname and Curaக்கோao have never qualified for the World Cup before. In recent years, teams have approached a number of experts who were born in the Netherlands or have played or have played on ERTV.
Warner Hahn, Ryan Dong and Diego Picheswar play for Suriname, Curaக்கோao Eloy Room, Vernon Anita and Kenji Corey, the son of the Surinamese national coach.
