The United States has been nominated by CONMEBOL and CONCACAF to host the 2024 Copa America. The Copa America is a biennial competition for South American countries that are members of CONMEBOL.

The 2024 Copa America will take a different form following an agreement reached Friday by CONMEBOL and CONCACAF. In addition to the participation of South American countries, the tournament in 2024 will also be open to participation from North American countries. The United States will host the 2026 World Cup along with Mexico and Canada. As part of the deal, the men’s Copa America will give North Americans the chance to participate, while the Women’s Gold Cup will give women in the South the chance to participate. America.

16 countries will participate in Copa America 2024 in America, 10 from South America and 6 from North America. North American nations will qualify for the Copa America 2024 through the CONCACAF Nations League 2023/2024.
