Christian Benteke has been cleared to play with the MLS All-Stars against English powerhouse Arsenal next month. The Belgian striker is in the 26-man selection from the American Football League.
On July 19, the MLS All-Stars will play Leandro Dazzard’s Arsenal in Washington. The North American league’s players are chosen by fans, All-Star coach Wayne Rooney and MLS boss Don Garber.
Christian Benteke was chosen by his coach at DC United on the recommendation of former great striker Wayne Rooney.
The 32-year-old striker has been playing in the US since last year. He has scored 8 goals in 19 matches this season.
