China brings the biggest ever Olympic team to the Beijing Winter Games | the Olympics
China will participate with no less than 176 athletes in the Beijing Winter Olympics. It is the biggest team ever to send the country to the quadrennial event. China is present in all sports fields. The games will take place from February 4-20.
The Chinese ice hockey team is also present. For a long time, there was uncertainty about whether the international federation wanted the team to play, because the level was too low. The IIHF has finally decided to give the Chinese team the benefit of the doubt.
Also remarkable is the large number of foreign coaches in the Chinese team. Of the 78 coaches, 51 came from other countries, including America, Canada, Russia, France and Japan.
