Dirksen speaks of “a kind of disdain for the listener” and believes that the music has become “just a side issue”. “We are annoyed by the listeners’ silly quiz questions and the completely unnecessary phone conversations with Meep from Maple. The column has nothing to do with Van der Plas, but she responds to X. “Start your own radio station or don’t complain. Bye,” she quips. Then she adds: “Just don’t listen and make your own playlist.”
