At the end of April, Caitlin Jenner (71 years old) announced that she would run for governor of the US state of California. She says in an interview now that connecting with her family was more difficult for her than coming out as a transgender person.

“I spoke to my family when I decided I wanted to become the governor of California,” she said in a statement. And the case is. “Honestly, it was easier to come out as a transgender person than to say I was a Republican. (Laugh) It was hard to sell.”

Jenner is the father of reality stars Kylie and Kendall Jenner and the ex-stepmother of Kim, Khloe and Kourtney Kardashian. However, rapper Kanye West, ex-husband of Kim Kardashian, ran for president on the Republican side last year. The rest of the Kardashian family appears to be mostly Democrats.

Kim Kardashian has also been politically committed to reforming the American criminal justice system in the past. “Kim did a great job at the time,” Jenner says. I didn’t ask her to participate in my campaign. But I can guarantee that if I become a ruler, I will listen to her if she has something to say.”

Jenner came out as a trans person in 2015 and wanted to continue as a woman. Although she recently ended up in a media storm after a number of statements about trans women in school athletic competitions. You find it unfair for them to participate in women’s sports competitions. “It is unfair for a female biologist to compete with a woman who was originally born in a male body,” she said at the time. “I don’t mean at all disrespectful to anyone, but we have to protect sports for girls in schools.” This statement has not been appreciated by the LGBTQ+ community in the United States.
