The pictures were taken by Hugo Bernand, a British photographer often employed by the royal family. For example, Brennan also took the official photos of Charles and Camilla’s wedding in 2005 and also did the same in 2011 during the wedding of Prince William and his wife Catherine.

The new images are accompanied by a comprehensive description of, among other things, the clothes worn by the king and his wife. Charles can be seen in an Anderson & Sheppard suit with a Turnbull & Asser shirt underneath. Camila wears a blue wool dress by designer Fiona Claire. She also wears pearl drop earrings with rubies and sapphires that belonged to Queen Elizabeth. The palace says the pearl necklace around her neck comes from her private collection.

Setup pictures are also explained in detail. The statues depict the king seated in an armchair upholstered in gilded wood, which was given to King George IV in 1828 to furnish Windsor Castle. Behind the King hangs a portrait of his ancestor George V. In her portraits, the consort is seated in the Bergère Chair, which was probably commissioned by George IV, then Prince of Wales, to furnish Carlton House in about 1812.
