Belgian broadcaster does not have to pay broadcaster Bart de Pauw after the MeToo case #MeToo
Belgian broadcaster VRT does not have to pay broadcaster Bart de Pauw compensation for the failure of his career due to harassment of women. The Belgian judge rejected the million’s claim on Monday. It is De Pauw himself who pays the symbolic compensation.
De Pauw demanded about €13m from VRT, as it would have pushed him unfairly aside in 2017 when complaints about his misconduct surfaced. According to the broadcaster, the Belgian broadcaster did not give him the opportunity to defend himself.

The court ruled that the 54-year-old presenter, actor, writer and producer must pay the broadcaster a symbolic compensation of €1. It also pays legal costs.
