Arjan Pomper has been promoted to Managing Director of Global Entertainment at ITV Studios for the production of Love Island. Bomber reports to David McGrenor, COO of ITV Studios.
He replaces Martin Meijs, who joined Netherlands-based media company Talpa in John de Mol as CEO.
ITV Studios also produces notable formats such as “The Voice,” “The Chase,” and “I Am A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here!” and “Come live with me” and “Walk the line”. The Global Entertainment division is responsible for sales and investments in ITV studio formats around the world, and Bomber is responsible for growing the global format business.
Bomber joined the division in September 2020 as Chief Operating Officer and has led the company since October last year with Kim Dingler, who will continue in her role as Chief Commercial Officer.
Bomber held previous positions as CEO of the Netherlands, Middle East and Africa at Dentsu Media and Communications and was also an entrepreneur who co-founded several media companies, including founding AMPN, a content and production company in sub-Saharan Africa.
Bomber said, “The formats and content business is experiencing some interesting developments and in the past 16 months, I have seen a demand for the very best in entertainment at an all-time high. Now, as General Manager, I am honored and delighted to continue working with the ITV Studios team, producers and our partners. Highly entertaining, branded, reusable, and travel-the-world.”
“Global entertainment plays a key role in the growth of ITV Studios’ global coordinating business and I am confident that under Arjan’s leadership he will build on the resounding success it has achieved so far,” McGreenor added.
ITV Studios is part of ITV PLC, the UK’s largest commercial broadcaster.
