Fernando Alonso appears to want to continue in Formula 1 with the Alps for a while, but once the 40-year-old decides to end his career in the first division, Albin has an endurance racing seat on offer.

“Fernando is a legend not only in sports, but also in the Renault group,” explains Rossi with Alpine, part of the French manufacturer, and Alonso, who won the championship with Renault in 2005 and 2006.

Alonso as motivation
