(CNN) – A man accused of falsely was convicted as a flight attendant to earn dozens of free flights on charges of fraud in wires and enter the safe area of the airport.
The US provincial lawyer in South Florida said in a press statement on Tuesday that Tirion Alexander, 35, was convicted by a federal jury after 34 free flights he obtained by pretending to be a flight host or a pilot. The authorities said that he also convicted that the safe area of Fort Lauderdiel Hollywood International Airport under false allegations.
The court documents said that the man was working by an unidentified airline based in Dallas, starting in 2015, but not as a pilot or flight attendant. The plan to obtain free tickets began for a flying company based in Florida, in 2018 and continued until 2024, according to court documents.
Alexander was charged with these charges in Florida. He was arrested in California in February.
Alexander tickets are reserved to attend airline and pilots. Free flights are among the best privileges to work as a pilot or flight host. The benefit depends on seniority and possession. Using online ticket systems for airlines, Alexander claimed that he worked intermittently for seven different transport companies, according to the news prosecution.

Alexander represents lawyers at the Miami General Defender Office. CNN has continued to comment.
The authorities claim that Alexander has seized more than 100 flights by falsely pretending as a flight attendant.
Alexander will be judged in August. He faces prison for up to 20 years on charges of defrauding wires up to 10 years to enter the safe area at the airport, according to the indictment.
