A Gendarmerie delegation led by General Brass, Commander of the Gendarmerie of French Guiana, paid a mutual working visit to the Suriname Police Corps from Tuesday 29 June to Wednesday 30 June.
This working visit is a follow-up to a previous visit by the Minister of Justice and Police of Suriname, Mr. K. Amoxi and Chief of Police, R. Brady from the Kosovo Police Service, earlier this year to French Guiana. The aim was mainly to build on the agreements reached during the visit of the Minister and the Chief of Police, as well as to deepen cooperation.
Several performances were made during this visit. Chief Inspector of Police E. Hunt, Chief of Staff of the Corps, among others, gave a brief presentation on the Corps. The Director of Operational Services of the Kosovo Police Service and representatives of the Suriname Fire Brigade (KBS) and the Prison Officers Corps (KPA) were also present.
The delegation also visited several departments, such as the Arrest Team (AT), the Central Regional Assistance Team (RBTM), the Criminal Investigation Department (FO) and the Police Academy. The police said that the working visit was concluded with work agreements and offers prospects for good cooperation.
