Gigabyte introduces new versions of its Brix mini computers. These computers are equipped with AMD Ryzen 5000U processors with Zen 3 cores, among other things. The systems are scheduled to be launched in the third quarter of this year. Suggested retail prices are still unknown.
GIGABYTE introduces the new Brix computers while Computex Digital Exhibition in Taiwan. The company hasn’t specified the Ryzen 5000U CPUs used for the miniature computers, but it does mention that the company will provide models with up to eight Zen 3 cores, indicating that the higher-end model will get the AMD Ryzen 7 5800U. This chip has a 15W tdp with a clock speed of 1.9GHz and a turbo frequency of 4.4GHz. Users can equip the system with an M.2 SSD and a 64GB DDR4-3200 memory via SO-DIMM slots.
The company stated that the PC size will be 44x134x139mm. Gigabyte for Brix systems provides 2.5Gbps support for Ethernet and Wi-Fi 6E. Additionally, computers have a rpm module. The company issues two copies; Thinner version and higher model. The higher variant provides additional space for a 2.5 “SD or HDD. Gigabyte will also come with additional upgrade kits, allowing users to equip computers with an additional RJ45 Ethernet connector. The company also comes with an upgrade kit for storage., Adding space for two M.2 drives” SSD add-on.
Users can also connect four monitors to their computers, which contain two HDMI connections, mini DisplayPort, and USB-C with DisplayPort support. Brix systems also get five USB 3.1 connectors, a 3.5mm audio jack, and a microphone.
