Dell releases new versions of its XPS 15 and XPS 17 laptops. The new models are the same as last year’s releases, but they get new Intel CPUs and Nvidia GPUs. The XPS 15 can also be equipped with an OLED display.
Both the new XPS 15 9510 and XPS 17 9710 can be equipped with Core i5 hexacores, Core i7 and i9 octacores from Intel’s Tiger Lake H series. Dell also introduces new releases from Nvidia’s RTX 3050 and RTX 3050 Ti-gpu’s. These processors and video cards were announced on Tuesday.
The Dell XPS 17 also offers an option for the RTX 3060 video card. On the XPS 15, the RTX 3050 and Ti version both get a tdp of 45 watts. On the XPS 17 it is 60 watts and if the RTX 3060 GPU is selected it will be 70 watts.
Both laptops come with up to 64GB of RAM and 16:10 screens. Both laptops are available in a version that has a 4K panel with a resolution of 3840 x 2400 pixels. With the new XPS 15, there is now also an option for an OLED display with a resolution of 3456 x 2160 pixels. The XPS 17 has four Thunderbolt connectors, and the XPS 15 has two as well as a USB 3.2 Gen2 Type-C connectivity.
The new XPS 15 and XPS 17 models have yet to be announced for sale in the Netherlands and Belgium. Prices are also unknown. In the United States, prices start at $ 1,200 and $ 1,400, respectively.
