Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years Old Will Be A Rare Model

Porsche always does a good job of creating special editions to celebrate a memorable event. The brand’s regular sports cars are already very stable in terms of value, but holidayPatterns are absolute gems. In this case we have another compelling investment tip for you in the form of Porsche 911 Turbo 50 YearsIt’s a new model, but oddly enough, it’s also an old model.

We’re going to explain it to you. As you know, the revised version of the 911 was recently introduced. In fact, we’ve already driven the 911 Carrera GTS and the standard 911 Carrera. This special edition is still the 911 before the facelift. So what does a 50-year-old 911 Turbo do? Quite simply, the special edition 911s (GT3 and Turbo) are introduced later and often stay in production a little longer.

How do you recognize a 911 Turbo 50 years old?

Porsche didn’t go too extravagant with the 911 Turbo 50 Years. The color is silver gray. In the press release we didn’t find a specific name for the color, but we did find that the details were sprayed with Turbonite. The badges and stickers on the hips and hood are in this color. Turbonite has recently become the color that distinguishes Turbo models. For example, the Panamera already has this feature.

If you weren’t a huge fan of the 911 Turbo 50 Years, we can understand. It wasn’t very exciting until now, but thankfully the interior is a welcome change. Just like the first 911 Turbo (the 930 generation in 1974), it features a gorgeous Pepita interior. You know, the diamond upholstery you get in a Golf GTI.

If you want to stand out even more, you can optionally choose the “Heritage Design Package”. You may know this package from the 911 Targa Anniversary, 911 Sport Classic or 911 S/T models. You then get white wheels, white logos, white Turbo lettering and gold badges and lettering. The color is Adventure Green, but any other 911 Turbo color is possible. If that doesn’t suit you, you can also choose the more distinctive PTS color.

Are things still progressing a little?

The 911 Turbo 50 Years’ technology is identical to that of the 911 Turbo S. This means that under the engine bay you’ll find a 3.7-litre boxer engine with two large turbochargers. This produces 650 hp and 800 Nm. As with the 911 Turbo S, all-wheel drive and an automatic transmission are standard. Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h takes just 2.7 seconds and the top speed is 330 km/h.

What’s so special is the production number. The Porsche 911 Turbo 50 Years is extremely limited. No more than 1,974 examples were built. That’s actually not that rare at all. Especially for a runaway model of a particular model type, that’s actually a lot. There are plenty of competitors hoping to sell 1,974 911 Turbos.
