Eva Hermans Krot (26), known for the wonderful TV show “Over My Corpse”, has made a special and inspiring decision: she will write her own book. This news is a ray of hope and a sign of strength in the fight against lung cancer that currently dominates her life.
“I can’t wait, I’m so proud already”
Eva has been battling lung cancer since 2021. She has already undergone twelve different treatments, each with their own serious side effects. The physical and emotional toll these treatments take is immense.
Eva recently spoke candidly on Instagram about her decision to stop chemotherapy because her quality of life was severely affected by the side effects. She had no energy left and was often so nauseous she would vomit. “The doctor understood that and so I stopped this treatment,” she wrote alongside a photo of herself with tears in her eyes.
Despite these challenges, Eva remains optimistic and determined. This is also evident now in her announcement of the book. “Now my last big dream has finally come true.”
Two years ago, as her health deteriorated further, she was on the verge of giving up on her dream of writing a book. After reaching out to several publishers with no response, it seemed like a far-fetched dream. But as the old saying goes, after the rain comes the sunshine. She shared the happy news with her Instagram followers: “I’m going to publish my own book!” “I’m so grateful for the trust and opportunity at the point I’m at now.”
Writing the book is one of the reasons she wants to keep going. “I really want to have this in my hands. I can’t wait, I’m so proud already.” She hopes to have the book in stores late this year or early next year.
