British economic growth in the fourth quarter is stronger than expected
London (ANP / RTR) – The British economy grew more strongly in the last quarter of 2020 than previously thought. According to the British Office for National Statistics, the growth was 1.3% compared to the previous quarter. Previously, a 1 percent increase was reported on a quarterly basis.
Over the entire year of Corona 2020, the British economy was still showing a historically strong contraction of 9.8 percent, according to the Statistics Office. That’s a fraction of the 9.9 percent contraction previously announced, but still the worst economic downturn for the UK in more than three centuries. This makes the country one of the countries most affected by the Corona crisis.
Economists expect the British economy to contract again in the first quarter of this year due to the lockdown against the Corona virus. Thus, a major recovery from the crisis is expected.

I’m curious about how Brexit will be and where they will be in about three years. Personally, I do not believe in all doom scenarios for the British, and on the other hand, I totally trust Brussels to wreak havoc with our Timmerfrans at the forefront as the banner bearer of failed environmental policy.
