WhatsApp will soon get new AI features that will help in photo editing. Features should be introduced to Meta's messaging service in the next update.
This relates to three new capabilities that use generative AI, WABetaInfo reports. The background function is supposed to allow the creation of backgrounds using artificial intelligence to convert text into an image, a similar technology that you also find in Adobe Firefly, the artificial intelligence system that can be used in Photoshop, among other things. Typing a word and seeing it change in the image on WhatsApp seems to be closer than you think.
Change the image style
The second redesign function offers the option to change your photo style, while the third enlarge feature allows you to enlarge small images. This functionality is also already present in Canva and Adobe Photoshop.
The new AI tools will reportedly be displayed with a new icon in the form of asterisks. This will be located under the same button where you can now choose the crop and sticker functions.
Artificial intelligence stickers
Meta AI previously announced that Facebook and Instagram will also be getting several new AI functions. The AI sticker generation feature was recently rolled out for WhatsApp. This allows you to create unique labels with text prompts in a few seconds, but the function is still available in the Netherlands.
It is not yet known exactly when the update will appear with the new photo functionality for WhatsApp. The features were discovered in a new beta version of WhatsApp for Android, but beta testers can't currently get started with them through the Google Play Beta program.
