The Astros’ victory came in the fifth inning, in which the Texans scored five runs. After Phillies starter-starter Aaron Nola loaded the bases and replaced him, things got worse for the home team. Yordan Alvarez was hit by Nola substitute Jose Alvarado, who then gave up a double from Alex Bregman, Kyle Tucker’s Sack Fly and Yuli Gurriel’s single: 5-0.

It meant game over for Alvarado after one run, but the Phillies were unable to repair the damage. Game 5 was scheduled for the following night (1:03 AM). Back in Philadelphia. Game 6 (Saturday) and Game 7 (Sunday) will be played in Houston.

The Astros are in their fourth World Series in six years. They won in 2017. Philadelphia is in the Finals for the first time since 2009. Last year, the title went to the Atlanta Braves.
