The animal was clearly visible last Wednesday on scanning equipment at TSA, the agency responsible for aviation safety in the United States, among other things. The staff who discovered the cat they were “shocked”A TSA spokesperson told CNN.

The bag also contained bottles, cups and a pair of slippers. The cat – red – came out unscathed. A TSA spokesperson says the bag owner seemed at least as surprised as the airport employees. “He said the cat was not his, but someone else’s in his house.”
A small patch of cat fur was visible through the unclosed zipper of the bag. The assumption is that the animal crept into the trunk unnoticed before it closed.
He loves to hide
This story was confirmed by the cat’s 37-year-old owner, who, it turns out, named him Smells. She told the New York Post, This Cat and owner trackerthat her scent, like her other cats, “likes to hide in bags and boxes.”
The smells were picked up from the airport by taxi and, according to the owner, there was nothing left of the unexpected trip. “He got some extra sweets and carried on as if nothing had happened.”
