US President Joe Biden believes billionaire Elon Musk bought the messaging platform Twitter to spread lies around the world. That’s what the Democrat had to say last night at a fundraiser in Illinois.
“We’re all worried about this right now: Elon Musk is buying a company that’s spreading lies around the world,” Biden said. “There are no more editors in America. How can we expect young people to understand what is at stake?’

Following his recent acquisition of Twitter, Musk has promised to restore free speech on the platform. At the same time, he argues that hate speech is not given freedom. Many of the world’s biggest brands have temporarily stopped advertising via Twitter, deterred by Musk’s distaste for content restrictions.
