A shooting at an American auto show: one dead and 20 wounded | Abroad
At least 20 people, including several children, were injured in a shooting during a car show in the US town of Douma, Arkansas. One of the wounded died.
Police Chief Keith Finch said one suspect was arrested, but several gunmen may be involved. He did not give details of the victims or other information about the shooting. The number of affected children is not known.
The car show was held outdoors. Around 7:25 pm, the police received a report of shooting at the company where the car show was being held.
The Show is an annual event for the Youth Empowerment Neighborhood organization. It is held every spring to raise funds for scholarships and school supplies. “It’s a tragedy that this has happened,” organizer Wallace McGee told KATV. “We have organized this here for sixteen years without any problems.”
