I understand what you’re trying to say, in some cases you’re also right, but:
1. So what does the taskbar need? I have 3 screens with 3 taskbars that are now 98% blank. This is just a waste of space.
2. It’s all about productivity, you can see in one storage where your programs are, rather than having to click something and then search again. It takes a lot of time because you have to do it several times a day. If it becomes more difficult by making it easier, you are not doing it right.
3. Why should Windows become a copy of macOS? Let people choose for themselves.
It’s okay if you turn this off by default, but let the professionals turn it back on, or else you’ll lose a lot of customers as a multibillion dollar company.
Windows isn’t just for gamers, it’s mainly for professionals who work in the office: comfortable, with multiple monitors. Plenty of room to fill this splash bar.
Combining icons is fun when you’re hunched over and working on a small laptop screen at Starbucks.
Well, ask yourself this:
If a full taskbar is marked on a full header, what is an empty taskbar?
