She married the Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai in the United Kingdom
Malala Yousafzai married her boyfriend, Aser, today, Tuesday, the Nobel Prize winner wrote on Instagram.
“Today was a special day in my life,” said the 24-year-old Yousafzai. “The captivity and I promised each other eternal loyalty.”
The two had a little Nikah – a traditional Muslim wedding – with their families in Birmingham, England. “Please send us your prayers. We are so excited to move on with our lives together.”
Yousafzai said in an interview with the British newspaper in July Vogue magazine She didn’t even understand why people wanted to get married. “If you want someone in your life, you don’t necessarily have to sign papers for them, right?”
Until her second year of college, she believed that she would never marry and have no children. “I imagined that I would work alone, be happy and live with my family forever, but I didn’t realize that people change. You change and you grow as a person.”
Yousafzai was shot in the head by the Taliban on a Pakistani school bus in October 2012. She was the target of the struggle for girls’ education. After that, the young activist became famous all over the world for her struggle for education for all children. In 2014 she was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize.
