Wozniacki wows at US Open

It’s been three years since Caroline Wozniacki advanced to the second week of the US Open but she earned a spot in the quarter finals after a convincing 6-4, 2-6, 6-2 win over Maria Sharapova in their fourth-round match on Sunday.

In the third set Wozniacki broke Sharapova’s serve on one of the most exciting points we’ll see all tournament. Take a look and you’ll see that Maria’s not too happy about it, either.

Here’s what ESPN Tennis had to say about the match altering point:

Caroline’s got to like her chances in the wide open bottom of the bracket, but World No. 1 and defending champ Serena Williams still looms up top.

Then again, Wozniacki wouldn’t face Williams until the final, and I’m sure that’s a predicament that she’ll gladly take.
