College student wins $10k with amazing shot

The sporting world is justifiably swooning for Cedric Jackson’s buzzer-beater for the Breakers in the NBL, but this guy surely snatches the mantle for the basketball miracle of the week.

The Byron College student, despite a broken finger and limited technique, had 30 seconds to make a lay-up, a free-throw, a 3-pointer and a half-court shot to win $10,000 in tuition money – and he nailed it…with a fair smattering of luck along the way.

He brought the house down when he drained the unlikely half-court basket. This is why we love sport, no matter what the level – drama, elation and unlikely heroes. Magic.
