Aussie Green’s miraculous hole-in-one

Australian golfer Richard Green boasts three European Tour wins and a top-five finish at The Open Championship on a solid professional resumé, but he has garnered worldwide attention for this outrageous hole-in-one at the Thirteenth Beach Golf Links in Barwon Heads, Victoria.

The 43-year-old picked up a rarest of the rare albatross (three under par) on the 358-metre par-four 15th hole, his drive miraculously screwing out of a bunker and making a beeline for the cup.

Green probably didn’t think he’d achieve a career highlight at the Victoria Open’s pro-am event, but he’s surely secured free beers for life thanks to this once-in-a-lifetime ace.
