Commentary Box Sports brings you a wrap of last week’s action involving Aussies and Kiwis playing over in Europe.

West Ham United were left to rue a late lapse which saw them settle for a draw against West Brom following a 94th-minute equaliser. New Zealand centre back Winston Reid was typically strong for the Hammers, putting in a good shift but getting booked five minutes from the end of regulation time.

In the Championship, Australians Massimo Luongo and Aaron Mooy played full matches for Queen’s Park Rangers and Huddersfield Town respectively when they clashed at Loftus Road, with Huddersfield winning 2-1.

Bailey Wright started and played 90 for Bristol City in a 3-3 draw with Derby County.

Although his Leeds United side were shut-out 2-0 by Cardiff City over the weekend, it was a good seven days for All White Chris Wood, who was named the Championship’s Player of the Month.

Across in Belgium, Socceroos shot-stopper Mathew Ryan started for Genk in a 3-0 win over Sint-Truiden, while in the German Bundesliga Mathew Leckie played all but the final few minutes of the match for Ingolstadt as they lost 2-0 to high-flying Bayern Munich.
