Paul Scholes can still score

Even amongst dozens of footballing legends, Paul Scholes still stands out.

The former Manchester United midfielder recently scored a delightful goal in the first game of the Global Legends Series in Bangkok.

More fitting for a Champions League final, the 40-year-old dinked his delicate finish over ex-Arsenal ‘keeper Jens Lehmann to help Team Cannavaro to an 8-5 win over Team Figo.

It was the first of two for Scholes who later completed his brace with a powerful drive, lighting up the charity series opener.

Also involved were the likes of Michael Owen, Clarence Seedorf and Cafu.
