Jedinak’s brilliant free kick sinks Liverpool

The Socceroos may be continuing to struggle to get the desired results on the international stage, but their stars are still making headlines around the world.

Australian midfielder Mile Jedinak has hammered a blistering free kick into the back of the net to seal Crystal Palace’s stunning 3-1 win over struggling heavyweights Liverpool.

With his side leading 2-1 at Selhurst Park, Palace captain Jedinak’s strike was too good for Liverpool’s goalkeeper, finding the top right-hand corner of the net for the decisive goal.

It was just Jedinak’s ninth goal in 122 appearances for the club, while his 52 internationals for Australia have netted only six. But the 30-year-old sure knows how make a goal memorable when he does get one. 3
