R7’s Ballon d’Or win bores Thierry Henry

Cristiano Ronaldo might be the most unstoppable footballer on the planet, but he’s still not in Thierry Henry’s class of cool.

After winning his second straight FIFA Ballon d’Or, awarded to the best-performed men’s player in the world, CR7 celebrated with a strange on-stage yelp.

The Real Madrid star’s attempt at an alpha roar failed to impress the recently retired Henry, who presented the ‘Golden Ball’ in Zurich.

Ronaldo beat regular rival Lionel Messi and Germany ‘keeper Manuel Neuer to the accolade, extending his haul to just one shy of Messi’s three.

Arsenal legend Henry might have only managed two runner-up places in his time, but at least his ego was truly entertaining.
