Chelsea and Newcastle are face tough ties, playing against Rubin Kazan and Benfica respectively.  Rubin Kazan recently claimed the scalp of the reigning Europa league champions Athletico Madrid, and another Spanish side in Levante.

They held Barcelona to a nil all stalemate at the Camp Nou.  Benfica are cruising at the top of the Portuguese League and with their second leg at home will be confident they can deal with Newcastle.
