To mark Chris Latham’s impending comeback for the Reds in February’s inaugural Global Rugby Tens at Suncorp Stadium, Wind-back Wednesday is reliving one of the brilliant fullback’s finest moments in front of the Brisbane faithful.

Against the Highlanders at Ballymore in 1999, Latham chipped over the defence inside his own half, regathered on the full and outsmarted the cover to send Daniel Herbert over for a scintillating try.

Narrabri-born Latham made his Super Rugby debut for the NSW Waratahs in 1997, but with no way past Matt Burke for the No.15 jumper he joined the Queensland Reds the following season.

He went on to play over 100 games for the Reds, while also representing the Wallabies in 78 Tests and scoring 40 tries.
