Will Skelton's impressive debut for Australia

The Wallabies’ new lock behemoth Will Skelton produced one of the most eye-catching Test debuts in recent memory, scoring a superb first half try and brilliantly setting up Israel Folau for one of his five-pointers after the break with a deft pass in Australia’s whitewash-sealing 39-13 defeat of France.

Skelton was given a standing ovation at a packed Allianz Stadium – his Super Rugby home ground with the Waratahs – when he was spelled midway through the second half. The skilful 140kg powerhouse’s excellent all-round display suggests he will be an integral member of the Wallabies’ pack for many years to come.
