Former Parramatta winger and Australian Test rep Semi Radradra has wasted no time making his mark on the French Top 14 rugby union competition, producing a high-octane debut on the left wing for Toulon in a narrow 30-27 loss to Bordeaux.

Radradra made seven runs for 61 metres, including three tackle busts and two clean breaks – but just as eye-catching as his work with the ball were a couple of bone-rattling tackles that will have upcoming opponents on high alert.

Radradra scored 82 tries in 94 games for the Eels over the past five seasons, and has indicated he wants to return to the club after he Toulon deal expires (he signed a one-year contract in January and has an option for another season). But for now, French ‘rah rah’ fans are in for a winter-long treat as the ‘Semi-Trailer’ runs amok in the Top 14.
