Nic White Injury

Nic White has fractured his scapular and will miss four week of rugby. The University of Canberra Brumbies Captain suffered the injury during the first half of Friday’s win over the Rebels at Canberra Stadium.

The injury did not affect any of White’s shoulder ligaments and he will not require surgery.

Brumbies Rugby coaching staff are confident White will be back for their next Super Rugby match, the last of the regular season, against the Western Force in Perth.

“It’s a better result than what I had expected and I’m looking forward to being involved with the Brumbies towards the tail end of the season,” White said.

“I was pretty confident last night it wasn’t the same injury, it felt different in contact. It’s a good result considering where I’ve been with my shoulder and how far surgery can set you back.

“All my focus will be on getting this right for the next game against the Western Force in a month’s time. It’s sore this morning but I guess that’s to be expected.”

This will be the only public statement White will be making until further notice.
