TOO GOOD TUESDAY: BIG DELL’S WONDER TRY FOR LEEDS

Before Brisbane Broncos wing great Wendell Sailor swapped codes at the end of 2001 and won 37 Test caps for the Wallabies, he embarked on an off-season stint with English rugby union club Leeds Carnegie.

Sailor’s short-term stint in the 1998-99 northern winter was healthy for the coffers of the Yorkshire outfit, but he also delivered on the paddock, scoring 15 tries in 13 games – including this freakish effort in his last game for the club.

Picking the ball up on his own 22-metre line, the flamboyant winger beat 13 defenders on his way to an unforgettable five-pointer.
