All Blacks surprise young Sydney fans

A group of young Sydney-based All Blacks fans received the experience of a lifetime ahead of the opening Bledisloe Cup encounter last week.

The 17 enthusiastic kids assembled and were kitted out in All Blacks gear, thinking they were going to be taught the haka and perform it in front of a giant poster of their heroes.

But when the time came for their big performance, New Zealand guns Ma’a Nonu, Dane Coles and Owen Franks appeared. The trio chatted with the star-struck kids before conducting a training session.

With the inflated pay packets and egos inherent to professional sport these days, it’s heart-warming to see our premier athletes still regularly taking the time out to make a young fans’ day.
