Sam Moa's bell-ringer on Gareth Widdop

St George Illawarra five-eighth Gareth Widdop ran rings around the Tigers last weekend, but his elusive running deserted him when he needed it most against the Roosters, copping this absolute bell-ringer from rugged prop Sam Moa.

A no-nonsense bookend with excellent technique and a thirst for putting on a big hit, New Zealand Test star Moa’s tackle on Widdop was one of the most punishing of 2014. The nuggetty front-rower shapes as a key figure as the inconsistent Roosters start to mount their title defence at the business end of the season.
