Canberra Raiders enforcer Iosia Soliola sparked a furore after the referees failed to send him off for arguably the most sickening of 2017, ironing out Melbourne Storm superstar Billy Slater with a late and high shot.

Soliola has generally been an honourable player throughout a 13-season professional career that has encompassed more than 250 games for Sydney Roosters, St Helens and the Raiders, along with 15 Tests for New Zealand and Samoa, but he can expect to sit out the rest of this season through suspension.

Monday Memories is taking you back to when Soliola was on the receiving end, courtesy of a rampaging Ruben Wiki during the 2008 finals series.

The Warriors veteran returned a kick-off during their 30-13 demolition of the Roosters, sending the 22-year-old Soliola straight to Disneyland.
