Maroons name side for Origin III

The Maroons will gamble on halfback Cooper Cronk, hoping the broken arm he suffered in Game I will fully recover in time for the dead-rubber at Suncorp next Wednesday.

Jacob Lillyman moves into the front-row to cover injured prop Matt Scott. Broncos captain Corey Parker walks back into the starting side. Aidan Guerra it also set keep his starting place, which pushes Matt Gillett to the bench – it is unclear why Gillett isn’t starting, as he did in the opening two games.

Josh Papalii, ruled out of Origin II with injury, has not been recalled despite a strong showing for Canberra on the weekend, allowing Dave Taylor to retain his bench spot.

Chris McQueen is out injured, but he was at long odds to remain in the side.

Will Chambers will make his Origin debut on the wing, beating out Dale Copley to replace veteran Brent Tate, who ruptured his ACL during Game II.
