KIWIS & KANGAROOS HIT BY INJURY WITHDRAWALS

New Zealand and Australia have been forced into further changes for Friday’s Anzac Test following injuries to Melbourne forward Nelson Asofa-Solomona and Canberra prop Shannon Boyd.

Giant tyro Asofa-Solomona was set to make his debut for the Kiwis, but a hand injury suffered in yesterday’s win over St George Illwarra has forced his withdrawal. Experienced Wests Tigers utility Elijah Taylor is his replacement in David Kidwell’s 20-man squad.

Meanwhile, Boyd – who was promoted to the Kangaroos’ bench after Josh Papalii’s axing, then to the starting front-row after Aaron Woods succumbed to injury – has been ruled out with a leg complaint.

Boyd’s absence sees Jake Trbojevic come onto the Australian bench, while David Klemmer and Andrew Fifita form a new starting front-row pairing, and the Storm’s Jordan McLean joins the squad as 18th man.
