Jamal Idris' bone-rattling hit on Cronk

Last night the Melbourne Storm kept their top four hopes alive as they overpowered a Panthers outfit 24-10 on the road.

The loss means Penrith’s minor premiership ambitions are extremely unlikely.

The Storm moves up two spots to fifth and now sits two points behind the fourth placed Panthers.

With Peter Wallace out for the season (ruptured ACL) and James Segeyaro’s absence due to the death of his father, Penrith never really found a rhythm – not even after Jamal Idris’ crunching tackle on halfback Cooper Cronk.
