Debate continues to rage over whether the NRL’s no-punching edict – with any player deemed to have punch an opponent automatically sin-binned – that came into vogue in 2013 is good for the game or not.

On one hand, the league should be commended for stamping out violence, but the hard-line approach has opened the door for an ugly plague of niggle and slapping.

For better or worse, there’s few red-blooded rugby league fans that don’t enjoy a little bit of fisticuffs from time to time, so we thought we’d share some of the best with you for Too Good Tuesday.

This compilation features Adam Blair v Glenn Stewart, Trent Merrin v Brent Tate, Mitch Allgood v Steve Matai, Manu Vatuvei v Matt King, Paul Gallen v Nate Myles, Gorden Tallis v Terry O’Connor, Michael Weyman v Daniel Conn, David Fa’alogo v Braith Anasta, Benji Marshall v Mitchell Pearce, Sonny Bill Williams v Phil Bailey, and Michael Crocker v Mark O’Meley, plus a few all-ins.

That wasn’t enough for you? OK then, here’s 14 minutes of carnage so you can get your fix before the sanitised reality of the current NRL landscape takes over for another season.
